Keith guessed a girl would be born on April 2nd at 3:45 p.m. and would weigh 9 pounds 3 ounces.

Determining The Winner

All the entries in the baby pool are listed below sorted first by sex and then by arrival day and time.

The winner is the one who guessed the sex correctly and is the closest in both the arrival and weight categories.

It is difficult to equate differences in arrival with differences in weight. However, this was necessary as no one was right on in either category. So it was decided that for the purposes of this baby pool that 1 ounce equals 9 hours and 29 minutes.

This was determined as follows, the range of guesses for arrival is March 17th 5:00 am to April 3rd 2:00 pm or 17 days and 9 hours (417 hours). The range of guesses for weight is 6 lbs 5 ozs (101 ozs) to 9 lbs 1 oz (145 ozs) or 2 lbs 12 ozs (44 ozs). So 417 hours divided by 44 ounces equals 9 hours and 29 minutes. So 1 ounce equals 9 hours and 29 minutes.
